A remake of a classic 1970s amplifier, the Electro-Harmonix Dirt Road Special is a solid-state 40W combo amp with a 12' speaker. It's designed for use with electric guitars.

This one channel amplifier provides a sweet, clean tone, but can be driven hard, thanks to the interactive Volume and Bite knobs. Use these in tandem to achieve a sound with raw, crunchy trebles and heaping overdrive. For overall tonal control, use the Tone knob to change the balance between a more bass-heavy or trebly tone.

This amplifier offers a versatile reverb. In fact, Electro-Harmonix have basically built a Holy Grail Max pedal into the amp. You can select among hall, spring, plate, or the Holy Grail's famous reverse settings. Adjust the reverb time with a dedicated knob. Thanks to an included mono footswitch, you can turn this reverb on or off with the tap of your toe.
