A miniature version of
DeSisti's larger lights, the
Piccoletto VW Bi-Color LED Fresnel Light has a 3' borosilicate lens, and at just 2.1 lb, lives up to its name - Italian for 'little guy.' Its impressive 18 to 80° spot-to-flood adjustment range offers both hard spot lighting effects for long throw work as well as wide coverage. The Piccoletto employs a 30W high-output COB LED array that provides clean-cut, single shadow performance like its traditional tungsten counterparts. The Piccoletto's expansive color range is a variable 2800 to 6600K, while dimming is also adjustable from 0 to 100%. The light's high CRI/TLCI rating of 95/96 attests to its advanced accuracy in color rendering. While you can make these adjustments locally on the fixture you can also make them remotely from a console via onboard DMX. In fact, you can DMX daisy-chain up to 32 fixtures for use in large setups.
The fixture has advanced features that you'd expect from a manufacturer of DeSisti's stature. The Linear Bearing sliding focus mechanism ensures smooth operation during focusing, regardless of the tilt angle. Self-Stabilizing Active Cooling uses an internal thermal sensor and CPU to activate a near-silent, low-rpm fan to maintain the LEDs at a maximum of 140 degrees. Structural integrity is addressed by fabrication from rugged, lightweight aluminum with reinforced internal double walls. Four-way barndoors come with the fixture to allow selective lighting. The Piccoletto is ready for worldwide use thanks to its 90-250V power supply.
