The Matterport Axis is a compact tripod mount that rotates a smartphone 360° to accurately capture spaces. When mounted on a tripod, it maintains a stable axis of rotation, which helps reduce alignment errors. The Axis also holds your phone for you, which helps reduce fatigue when performing multiple scans or scanning a large area.

\r\n\r\nThe Axis works with both iOS and Android smartphones via Matterport's Capture app and Bluetooth connectivity. The Axis features a fast spin time when capturing scenes and, since you're using your smartphone to perform these scans, there's no transfer time needed between the app and the camera. Power is provided using an integrated battery, which can be recharged in about an hour using the included USB Type-C cable. You can also monitor the battery's charge using the built-in LED indicators. On the bottom of the Axis, there is a 3/8' tripod mounting thread, or take advantage of the included 3/8' to 1/4' adapter for mounting on 1/4' threads.
