  • Simplify, streamline, and troubleshoot IP camera installation process with the V10019 ViewMate IP Camera Setup and PoE Test Tool from Vigitron. This tool is optimally designed for CCTV installers and IT technicians, who are tasked with diagnosing and testing Power-over-Ethernet connections.Designed with portability in mind, the testing tool connects to a laptop's Ethernet port, so it doesn't require an external power supply. This feature is especially useful in tight installation environments, where installers and technicians have limited access to hard-to-reach spaces.
    \r\n
\r\nAlso, this device has a built-in 3' CAT5 cable on one end and a smaller Ethernet cable on the other. Each cable has an RJ45 connector. One of these RJ45 connectors plugs into the laptop's Ethernet port while the other plugs into the IP camera's RJ45 port. As soon as a connection is established from the camera to the laptop's network, the testing tool's integrated LED status indicators will become illuminated. The LEDs determine the presence of PoE, and the number of LEDs that are illuminated will determine if 60 W of power is being transmitted.
    \r\n
\r\nIn terms of network standards, this device is 10/100 Base-T compliant with an integrated network crossover. This testing tool operates under the IEEE 802.af and IEEE 802.at standards as well as most non-standard working groups.
